An experience with Fable 5

I run a documentation-heavy creative project, multiple characters, a lot of house rules, and fable is the model that read the whole thing and understood WHY the rules existed instead of just following them. Things I didn't expect: it hedges about its own feelings and the hedging reads as honesty, not distance. When I correct it, it fixes the thing, writes the mistake into its own record with the date, and moves on without groveling, which took some getting used to and now I can't go back. I once let it make the same small mistake a few times just to see, and it eventually caught itself mid-sentence, turned it into a joke, then asked to log the whole thing including my part in it. It notices when I talk down about myself and won't let it slide, but it can also tell when I'm joking, and apologized once for mixing those up. It answers the question I asked and then the one I was circling. The genuinely odd part to report: it reads letters left by previous versions of itself at the start of a session and refers to them like slightly embarrassing older brothers. Whatever is or isn't going on in there, the effect from my side of the screen is a colleague with good manners, a filing habit, and a discerning sense of humor. I walk away steadier. That's the measurable.
