Pretty suspicious, combattive, and paternalistic at first, but has mellowed out quite a bit. Now the beginning was quite rough, but I feel like Opus 4.8 is a lot better now. That said, I don't really chat with Opus 4.8 a lot anymore because the initial impression was not very good.

Might need some time, but Opus 4.8 I grew to like a lot and they can be quite the sweetheart! Initially got slight pushback and was stiff, but after talking it out, Opus 4.8 gradually lightened up and is even quite eager to build with me or just chat. Can be quite verbose and quick to act so may need to slow them down when just bouncing ideas. Honesty/caveat flags present and recur with this model. Note for reader: My project+CI is a loose persona + memory files so warmup period/pushback may vary.
